Lml 150cc Scooter Manual
Car parts cross reference guide ford 1930. To me personally, only 'proper' scooter is a manual transmission - twist - gear scooter. I own some vintage Vespas overseas and here in Australia, to get the 'proper' scootering experience - you basically have 3 options.
Buy a vintage Vespa (say a 1960s Vespa Sprint) and keep caring for it constantly. Will be difficult to use it as a daily ride. Buy a Vespa PX150 (only manual transmission on offer as of 2017) - OR 3.
Buy a LML Star2 Deluxe The Star Delux is an exact licensed copy of the PX with some minor stying differences such as the rear-view mirrors are placed differently and the PX has a fuel gauge which the LML lacks. Basically that’s it. Built quality is very similar if not exactly same. LML is cheaper due to cheaper labour cost in India.
They rule the roads there through some of the harshest conditions and minimal care. If you want to spend the dollar then buy a PX otherwise the 2 stroke LML is the most authentic (actually same) experience for less money. Engine specification and dimension of PX150 and Star 2 Deluxe are exactly same. I have one 2016 LML Star 200 with 4900 km, i bought this bike because i wanted an War machine in terms of engineering!! So what are my characteristics in one War machine: 1- The engine must be simple, robust and economical, i think one 200cc air cooled, Carburettor with 2 valves its perfect for the Job; 2- the drive system must be the maximum robust, So the LML Vespa have one engine connected directly to the rear wheel, this is more reliable then a shaft drive system and offcorse more robust then a Chain or Belt =). 3- must be fast and easy to service maintain, wish the LML is.

Until now my only problem was a wire on the start bottom that was not working well but thank GOD like in the old days we have a carburettor and a kick start so when we have a battery Starter problem we use the Kickstart =). The bike is doing 37 km per 1 liter it can go to 90 kmph it cruise perfect at 60 kmph and can cruise at 80 kmph until you run out of fuel=), so in my view this LML Star 200 its a perfect Classic Scooter, that if you know how to use it and to maintaining will last you forever at least its the feeling i get from ridding mine. Its like having an Harley, you will not ride te like an Yamaha R1 but you will cruise and appreciate the Vibe, that is what LML will do 4 you in an economical and practical way. Having owned a 2005 Vespa PX 200 some years ago and ridden various geared two stroke Vespas I was keen to find out more about the LML 150 2T and took a demo model for a spin. What I didn't expect was how good it was and 24 hours later it was sitting in my lounge room and being compared to my original PX 200.

I can honestly say without bias that IT IS a PX Vespa with some very minor differences such as the speedo/odo/fuel gauge display and switch blocks the only differences on visual inspection. Apart from that there isn't really anything else except when you ride it. The big difference is in the engine! The 150cc 2 stroke feels punchier than my PX 200 down low in the rev range which could be gearing but might be the more advanced 5 port reed valve LML uses. I can't remember my stock Vespa PX 200 feeling as lively as this and this is with all restrictions in place! I just can't wait to remove the stock pipe and free up the engine because the engine on these are so much fun, hard to keep the front wheel down on take off:) I must mention that the front disc brake on the LML works very well and has you pulling up in no time.
Apparently the steel LML uses for the chassis is stronger than the current Piaggio version, however, I would say the paint quality on the current Piaggio PX's appears better. For a $3000 + saving (I bought a demo) and with the added punch of the engine I consider the LML a fantastic buy compared to the Piaggio. So, if you are considering one I have no hesitation in saying DO IT! Hi Valerie, I'm not sure where you're from but if you've never ridden a manual motorcycle or scooter before, there's a bit to learn before you are comfortable and able to enjoy it.

I suggest you have a professional motorcycle trainer give you some lessons so that they can explain systems and techniques in getting the best out of your scooter. All the hand shift (manual) scooters take time to master and require lots of practice, they are not the best 1st choice for first timers but if you persist you will love your little scoot in time. The alternative is to buy a small 50 -100cc automatic scooter to get your confidence up and then step up to a hand shift manual scooter. All the best.
