About the GACE® Paraprofessional Assessment What Is It? The GACE® Paraprofessional (test code 177) assessment measures the skills and knowledge in reading, writing, and math possessed by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals. It also measures their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction. Who Takes It?
This assessment is taken by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals to demonstrate that they are knowledgeable in reading, writing, and math, and that they are capable of assisting in classroom instruction. How Long Is It? Test takers have 2½ hours to complete the assessment. What Subjects Are Covered?
Subjects include reading, writing, and math. What Are the Questions Like? The test has 90 selected-response questions, approximately two-thirds of which focus on basic skills and knowledge. The remaining one-third focuses on applying skills in the classroom. All test questions are in English. How Is the Assessment Given? The Paraprofessional assessment is given in a computer-delivered format.
From The Paraprofessional exam is given most Thursdays at 9:00 am and 12:00 pm. Some dates in February and March will be on Wednesdays. Please note the day of the week you are registering for when you register. There is a $65.00 fee- CASH (CORRECT AMOUNT ONLY) or Credit/Debit ONLY - no checks. You can pay online during registration using PayPal or pay the day of the test.
Praxis Ets Study Guide
Billing is not an option for the GACE. Be here at least 20 minutes before your appointment time. You must bring a form of identification. Accepted forms of identification are: Drivers License with photograph and signature. Once you have completed the test, you will be given an unofficial score report. Many schools/systems will use the unofficial score report as proof that you have passed the test. The official test results will be sent to the address you choose within a week.IF YOU DO NOT PASS THERE IS A 28 DAY WAITING PERIOD BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE THE TEST AGAIN.

The test given at North Georgia RESA is the internet-based test. If you want to take the paper-based test, you should contact GACE and schedule an appointment through them.
